The commemoration of the Republic Day of India has become the space to discuss and summarize the strategic partnership between two countries. In 2015, of Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India to Mongolia speeded up the bilateral relationships between Mongolia and India which resulted in cooperation on border security, defense, energy, disaster management, international cooperation and traditional medicine and other capacity building schemes. In 2017, almost 150 Mongolian public servants underwent short-term training courses fully funded by the Government of India in several Indian institutions. The Ambassador of India to Mongolia highlighted this training program would continue in the future. In addition, Mongolia is set to build nation`s first oil refinery with a soft loan from the Indian Government. The project is expected to be a huge project and one concrete outcome of the bilateral strategic partnership. Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Tsogtbaatar was present at the 69th Republic Day of India celebration and delivered a speech, in which he highlighted the spiritual and cultural bond the two countries have shared for centuries. “I believe that Mongolia-India relations were always at a strategic level, and it was only formalized in 2015. There is no single section of the Mongolian society the Mongolia-India relations haven’t touched,” Minister of Foreign Affairs noted. Another strategic partnership outcome example was mentioned by the Indian Ambassador to Mongolia Mr. Babu as the academic conference on traditional medicine co-organized by the Embassy of India and the Mongolian Ministry of Health last month. The Ambassador of India to Mongolia has handed over a newly published compilation of all the presentations delivered at the conference to Mongolia`s Minister of Foreign Affair and Minister of Defense.
