Agricultural sector to upgrade technology this year
The Government of Mongolia has set an objective to produce 100 percent of the nation's demand for agricultural products, replacing import goods.
The Government of Mongolia has set an objective to produce 100 percent of the nation's demand for agricultural products, replacing import goods. It has been decided that the government and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry will purchase 8.6 million USD in German agricultural equipment through DBM LLC, of Development Bank of Mongolia, to upgrade 55 percent of the industry's outdated equipment by 2019. German company Ammac GmH will serve as a mediator for the upgrade project. Efforts are also underway to open some 2 million USD cashmere factory in 2018.
