President’s Chief of Staff meets junior athletes of mental arithmetic and soroban abacus
President’s Chief of Staff Enkhbold.Z met the successful participants of the 22nd, Soroban, Mental Arithmetic international competition held among contestants from 46 countries.
President’s Chief of Staff Enkhbold.Z met the successful participants of the 22nd, Soroban, (Japanese abacus) Mental Arithmetic international competition held among contestants from 46 countries. The Mongolian team with 78 athletes made a remarkable success competing with around 5,000 children at the international competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They won the Grand Prize, two contestants became champions and placed third with the overall results winning 20 gold cups and 33 silver cups in total. During the meeting with Chief of Staff of the President’s Office Enkhbold.Z, three mental athletes showed some of their abilities to calculate three digit numbers in just a few seconds without using any tools. Those mental athlete children are from 10 rural provinces and nine districts of Ulaanbaatar city and have been trained at TOYA Academy for Children’s Development. The TOYA academy has 10 branches in Ulaanbaatar and 20 branches in the countryside.
