‘The Voice of Mongolia’ to be aired from this January

Mongolian version of the Voice, reality singing competition will start being aired in Mongolia on commercial broadcasting, Mongol TV from this month. The concept of the reality show originally started in Holland, is to find currently unsigned singing talents. The show will be presented on TV within four stages such as the blind audition - the first stage which is held among the pre-selected participants, the second stage of duet followed by the live concerts of the semi-final and the Grand finale. According to Nomin Chinbat, Director of Mongol TV, the official right of the franchise was acquired within a year after initiating the idea back in 2015. Reportedly, the winner of this season of the series will receive a record deal with Universal Music Group, a global music corporation and a cash prize which is yet to be revealed. The show’s panel of judges includes Ononbat.S, State Honored Cultural Figure, CEO of On&Off Production company, who is considered to be the founder of modern video art in Mongolia, Otgonbayar.D, State Honored Artist, lead guitarist of Mongolian rock band Hurd, Bold. D, State Prize Laureate, leader of Mongolian boy band Camerton, and Ulambayar.D aka Uka, leader of Mongolian girl band Kiwi. With the aim of adapting the world’s five most popular reality shows’ formats to develop Mongolia’s entertainment industry, Mongol TV has already successfully broadcast the two substitute seasons of Mongolia’s Got Talent before. Now it’s time to have the first musical break.
