The law was entered into force starting from January 02, which was adopted by the Parliament in May 2017.

Mongolia approves youth development law. The law was entered into force starting from January 02, which was adopted by the Parliament in May 2017. The law aims to support youths and create the favorable environment for studying and developing them. Comprised of 7 chapters and 25 articles, the law determines legal basis to support youth development, their engagement in social development, and regulate relations regarding their rights and duties. According to the law, the qualified students for universities will be able to attain student development loan, and access to health services regardless of their residence locations. In addition, youth development centres will be built across Mongolia. Moreover, private companies will be responsible for the provision of part-time jobs to the students. Specifically, companies with more than 100 workers should create part-time places for students equaling five percent of their total workers. Furthermore, the Mongolian National Broadcaster should have TV programs dedicated to youth' development as well as affordable apartment projects for young families should be implemented enabling them to buy or rent apartment suited to their income. In Mongolia, the youths make up almost 35 percent of the total population.
