Competition of зanegyrists is held every year at aim of retaining and passing heritage down to young generation as well as making panegyrists famous under.
The 7th National Competition of Panegyrists was co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Department of Arts and Culture of the Capital city and Mongolian Panegyrists Center. 30 talented contestants out of the 59 participated in the first round were selected to challenge their mind and skills in the categories of lauding and panegyric and directly panegyrizing under the given topics in the next rounds. During the competition, the Department of Arts and Culture of the capital city organized a discussion among panegyrists and they exchanged views on the current state of lauding and panegyric use, essence and roots, its future perspective. Laud songs and panegyric are special types of intangible cultural heritage of Mongolian nation.
