Mongolian judoka N. Tuvshinbayar awarded Chinggis Khaan Order

Hero of Labor of Mongolia, State Honored Athlete judoka N. Tuvshinbayar was named 11th of Chinggis Khaan Order laureate.

Today, the November 19th marks the 855th lunar calendar birthday of Chinggis Khaan which has been celebrated as the National Pride Day since 2012. On this day the Order of Chinggis Khaan medals, the highest honour of Mongolia, are awarded to those exceptional individuals who have promoted the historic and cultural values and contributed greatly to independence, territorial sovereignty and national unity of the country. Today Hero of Labor of Mongolia, State Honored Athlete judoka N. Tuvshinbayar was named the 11th of Chinggis Khaan Order laureate. Tuvshinbayar won the first Olympic gold medal of Mongolia at the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing. He also won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics in London becoming the first Olympic multi-medalist from Mongolia. Moreover, the 33-year-old judoka like to challenge himself in the traditional Mongolian wrestling competitions. This time Tuvshinbayar also keeps the tradition of being the first by becoming the first athlete to receive the Order of Chinggis Khaan.
