The World Bank has approved credit worth of USD 25 million to Mongolia for promoting employment.
World Bank to support job creation in Mongolia. The World Bank has approved credit worth of USD 25 million to Mongolia for promoting employment. Using this credit loan, the country will implement job creation projects providing new opportunities for people to start and grow sustainable micro-enterprises. James Anderson, World Bank’s Country Manager for Mongolia presented the proposed projects to the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr S.Chinzorig. The Mongolian government is focusing on policies for decreasing poverty; these include increasing the number of people who are receiving food aid to 240 thousand and distributing a total of MNT 16 billion in cash to those Mongolians living below the poverty level.
