Head of Cabinet Secretariat discusses ongoing accountability projects with WB and IFC
Meeting mainly focused on the Smart Government and MASAM projects, being implemented at Cabinet Secretariat and other public offices.
Head of Cabinet Secretariat G.Zandanshatar met World Bank Group’s Country Manager James Anderson and International Finance Corporation’s Resident Representative in Mongolia Tuyen D.Nguyen. The meeting mainly focused on the Smart Government and the Mainstreaming Social Accountability in Mongolia (MASAM) projects, being implemented at the Cabinet Secretariat and other public offices. The Smart Government project, financed by a soft loan from the World Bank, aims to make public service more efficient, inclusive and transparent through optimal use of information and communication technologies. The MASAM project is being carried out in education and health sectors in 2015-2019. In frames of the project, volunteer groups were formed in ten provinces and three districts to help solve their pressing issues. During the meeting, sides also exchanged views on cooperation and current and future activities of the Investment Protection Council of Mongolia.
