Minister discusses road sector with Russian ambassador. Mongolia has put forward a proposal to Russia on organizing the annual forum ‘Transit Mongolia’ in the country next year. The proposal was made during a meeting between Minister of Road and Transport Development J.Bat-Erdene and Russian Ambassador to Mongolia I.K.Azizov on November 10, when the Mongolian side also expressed its interest to attend transport forum and exhibition ‘Transport Week’, to be held in the Russian capital on December 2-8. During the bilateral meeting, sides exchanged views on wide-ranging issues such as technical renovation at the Ulaanbaatar Railway Joint Venture, RUB 100 billion soft loans from the Russian Government and railways on routes including Ovoot-Erdenet and Borzya-Solovyovsk-Ereentsav-Choibalsan-Khuut-Bichigt-Shiliingol, which were included in the trilateral Economic Corridor program. Minister J.Bat-Erdene appreciated the Russian Ambassador’s efforts in road and transport sector as the sides touched upon ongoing projects in the sector and agreed to focus on moving them forward. Moreover, the sides agreed on urgently solving issues surrounding projects included in the Mongolia-Russia-China Economic Corridor and Central Railway Corridor.
