Mongolian para-taekwondo athletes seized two gold and one bronze medals at the 2017 World Para Taekwondo Championships. The seventh World Para Taekwondo Championships took place in London, UK, was attended by more than 260 athletes from 59 countries. G.Bolor-Erdene became a three-time world champion in the men’s 61 kg of K44 category with his victory in London. Mongolian athlete Kh.Enkhtuya became Mongolia’s first female athlete to win a gold medal in para sports after winning a gold medal in the women’s 49 kg of K44 category. B.Shinebayar took a bronze medal in the men’s 61 kg of K42 category. At the first-ever Para Taekwondo Asian Championships in 2015, G.Bolor-Erdene won gold medal and then he went on to capture the world title later that year.
