Winter preparation discussed at first meeting of new government
Deputy Ministers, State Secretaries and chairmen of agencies discussed winter preparation progress and necessary measures to be taken in nearest future.
It was attended by Deputy Ministers, State Secretaries and chairmen of agencies and they discussed winter preparation progress and necessary measures to be taken in nearest future. According to winter weather forecast, performed by meteorology institutes of Mongolia as well as Russia, the coming winter will be severe. Also, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry called a meeting with heads of the Ministry’s Departments and relevant organizations. After hearing present progress of wintering preparations and harvesting and other pressing issues, the Minister provided certain assignments. The Minister said, “Winter preparations going at just 50 percent is very insufficient at the time. It requires urgent works to purchase hay and animal fodder from Russia. Pressing issues will be resolved by collaborating with related ministries, government and non-government organizations, as well as businesses. Fulfillment of assignments has to be promptly reported,” As of past week, herdsmen prepared some 740 thousand tons of hay, 6,300 tons of soiling food, 6,700 tons of produced fodder with overall animal food preparations going at 53 per cent nationwide.
