President Khaltmaa Battulga of Mongolia congratulated Kyrgyz president-elect Sooronbai Jeenbekov on the victory in Kyrgyzstan's historic vote. The message reads out that "our peoples have established the parliamentary form of ruling and successfully developing democracy in society and market economy". Battulga expressed readiness to further expansion and development of friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan established a diplomatic relation in 1992.
