Mongolia forms new government. Mongolia formed a new government, led by Prime Minister Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, after two days of parliamentary discussions. The new cabinet is expected to tackle challenges of reducing poverty, recovering the economy, strengthening the country's mining industry and attracting foreign investments. Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh did not alter the structure of the previous Cabinet, and proposed new candidates instead, who have been backed by the Mongolian People’s Party-ruled Parliament. Parliamentary Standing Committees approved all candidates for the nine ministers and for the positions of deputy prime minister and head of the cabinet secretariat. As such, the new Cabinet now has the full authority to administer the executive branch.
