Tsetsii spins in Mongolia. Clean Energy Asia started commercial operations at the 50MW Tsetsii wind farm in Mongolia. The project, which is located in the Gobi desert, consists of 25 Vestas V90 turbines. Clean Energy Asia is a joint venture between Mongolia’s Newcom Group and Japanese outfit Softbank Energy. Newcom Group chairman and CEO Enkhbold Nyamjav said: “We believe the successful completion of our project has increased the confidence of foreign investors in Mongolia and proven that Mongolia is a country where things can be done.” Wood Group’s clean energy business was owner’s engineer during construction.
