Mongolian dinosaurs on show in Western Australia
Digitally augmented exhibition of dinosaurs is displayed
Therizinosaurus is joined by 22 other dinosaurs in this digitally augmented exhibition, said Mikael Siversson is Curator of Paleontology at the Western Australia Museum in Perth. The exhibition has plenty of Mongolian dinosaurs. Mongolia has dessert outcrops and exposed cliffs, with not a lot of soil coverage. This means dinosaur fossils from Mongolia are particularly well preserved, thanks to the environment, Mikael said. Fossilized dinosaur dung also helps paleontologists with their research. Scientists have analyzed stuff like this to work out dinosaur diet, Mikael said.
