Mongolia and Russia clarify cooperation goals

The attendees at the Mongolia-Russia Cooperation 2017 forum exchanged views on a number of mutually beneficial cooperation issues. During the forum, Ts.Munkh-Orgil, acting Foreign Minister noted that Mongolia needs to balance imports from Russia and exports. Trade between Mongolia and Russia has reached USD some 705 million for semi annual period 2017; an increase of almost 47 percent on the previous year. The Mongolian government will cooperate with Russia in areas of energy, education and culture, transportation and railway transport. Furthermore, two sides intend to sign a Euarasian free trade agreement, and develop relations between Mongolian and Russian cities.
