Mongolian mountaineers conquered Aktru peak in Russia
A team with 13 mountaineers successfully conquered the 4045-metres high mountain, one of the highest peaks of Northern Chuisky Range of the Altay mountain system.
Mongolian mountaineers led by B.Gangaamaa, Seven Summiteer, have conquered Aktru Mountain in Russia. A team with 13 mountaineers successfully conquered the 4045-metres high mountain, one of the highest peaks of Northern Chuisky Range of the Altay mountain system. The team mountaineers of ‘Sutain Bor’ mountaineering club was challenged by relatively harsh weather conditions and circumstances including 80-cm deep snow cover, a result of snowstorm that continued for six days. State Honored Athlete B.Gangaamaa is the first Mongolian mountaineer to conquer the Seven Summits, the highest peaks of the seven continents. She conquered the seventh peak, Mount Vinson Massif (4,892 m) in Antarctica earlier last December, thus fulfilling her conquest.
