During the President’s visit, the Russian side put forward an official proposal on allowing a land for Mongolia at Vostochny port, considering the possibility that Mongolia can establish a similar port as Vostochny to transport the coal coming from its Tavantolgoi mine to global markets. Vostochny, an intermodal container port of Russia located in Vrangel of Nakhodka Gulf of the Sea of Japan, is the end point of Primorie-1 international railway corridor reflected in the Program on Establishing Economic Corridor of Mongolia, the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.
