From the “Aldar” sports club and “Avarguud” Academy, Orkhon defeated her rivals from India, Sweden, and Nigeria. In the semifinals, she beat Jackeline Renteria of Colombia, a twice Olympic bronze medalist. At the gold medal contest, P.Orkhon defeated Yuliya Tkach of Ukraine, a 2014 World champion with scores 6:3. This is the fourth gold medal won by Mongolian women, and the seventh gold medal by Mongolian national team. P.Orkhon is considered as the present time’s powerful wrestler in the world. She made a sensation at the 2016 Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin, defeating Kaori Icho of Japan, a four-time Olympic and ten-time World champion, the 58 kg division. She stopped 158 consecutive wins of the Japanese legendary wrestler, world media reported.
