Mongolia and Japan continue dinosaur studies
The Mongolian Academy of Sciences will collaborate with the Japanese Okayama University of Science (OUS) in studies of dinosaurs.
Mongolia and Japan continue dinosaur studies. The Mongolian Academy of Sciences will collaborate with the Japanese Okayama University of Science (OUS) in studies of dinosaurs. A memorandum of mutual understanding on the cooperation was signed by Kh.Tsogtbaatar, the director of the Paleontology and Geology Institute at the Academy of Sciences; and Yasunobu Yanagisawa, the OUS president. The Paleontology and Geology Institute has been conducting a research themed “Ancient ecosystem of Mongolian Gobi Desert” since 1992 in collaboration with the scientific organization of Okayama city. Within the research works, Mongolian and Japanese scholars have discovered out many interesting findings in Gobi desert, which significantly contributed to the science of paleontology. Widening the collaboration, the sides will co-implement a project on international studies of dinosaur findings for next four years.
