Mongolia will mark the World Poetry Days with various events and with a participation of some 200 poets, writers, translators, cultural and art figures from about 40 countries.

Mongolia will mark the World Poetry Days with various events and with a participation of some 200 poets, writers, translators, cultural and art figures from about 40 countries. Accordingly, the 37th conference of World Poets and ‘International Poetry Festival named after Danzanravjaa’ is to be held in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. World Poetry Day is celebrated on 21 March and was declared by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1999. This event has several objectives to promote the reading, writing, publishing, and teaching of poetry throughout the world and to give fresh recognition and impetus to national, regional and international poetry movements.
