This year, Mongolia hosts the 31st Asia Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree after Bangladesh which organized the 30th Jamboree in 2012.
About 6000 scouts will be gathering in Mongolia from July 27 to August 2. This year, Mongolia hosts the 31st Asia Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree after Bangladesh which organized the 30th Jamboree in 2012. The scout gathering is counted as a major international event hosted by Mongolia, therefore, a Prime Ministerial ordinance was issued to form a National committee to handle the organization of the event. The 31st APR Scout Jamboree brings together 2000 scouts from about 50 countries, 4000 scouts from 21 provinces and 9 districts of the capital city of Mongolia at the ‘Nairamdal’ (literal meaning: Friendship) international children’s camp for a week. Additional 1500 staff members, foreign and local delegates will be working at the camp.
