The Mongolian Cabinet authorized Finance Minister B.Choijilsuren to sign a financing agreement on ‘Second Energy Sector Project’, which is established between the World Bank and Mongolian Government.

The Mongolian Cabinet authorised Finance Minister B.Choijilsuren to sign a financing agreement on ‘Second Energy Sector Project’, which is established between the World Bank’s International Development Association and the Mongolian Government. The USD 42 million loan from the World Bank will be used on projects – ‘Baganuur-Southeastern Region Electricity Distribution Network’, ‘Erdenet-Bulgan Electricity Distribution Network’ and expansion of ‘National Electricity Transmission Grid’. In addition, the government plans to set up a 10MW solar power plant in the western region.
