"Strategy for Northeast Asia Power System Interconnection" project to be implemented
A Technical Assistance Project on Strategy of Northeastern Asian General Power Grid Network has commenced implementation at the initiative of Mongolian Ministry of Energy and Asian Development Bank.
"Strategy for Northeast Asia Power System Interconnection" project to be implemented. A Technical Assistance Project on Strategy of Northeastern Asian General Power Grid Network has commenced implementation at the initiative of the Mongolian Ministry of Energy and the Asian Development Bank. The purpose of the project is to conduct a comprehensive technical study on interconnecting renewable energy resources of Mongolia to regional electricity grid network. The study is being conducted by the European leading energy company, Electricite de France. Six meetings will be organized in the course of implementation of the 25-month project, with attendance of counterparts from China, Russia, Japan and South Korea. The meetings will be significant for increasing the use of clean energy in Northeast Asian power system, improving efficiency and building understanding among stakeholders. Moreover, the project will bring significant results in identifying the map of the regional electricity grid network which is based on the vast resource of Mongolia's renewable energy.
