Mongolian scientist awarded Sasakawa health prize
Mongolian scientist Arslan Rinchin has been awarded the Sasakawa Health Prize according to a decision of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Mongolian scientist Arslan Rinchin has been awarded the Sasakawa Health Prize according to a decision of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO). The award was handed over to Mongolian Minister of Health during the 70th World Health Assembly. R.Arslan has made a huge contribution to the development of Mongolia’s health sector, by successfully conducting vaccination and epidemics studies for Hepatitis B. His studies have become cornerstones for Mongolia introducing to vaccination of Hepatitis B. Ms Margaret Chan, WHO Goodwill Ambassador and Chairman of the Nippon Foundation highlighted Mongolia’s efforts, which has been leading the world in fighting against liver diseases.
