The US Peace Corps is to implement a new health education project in Mongolia and Director of Peace Corps Mongolia Gene Nixon and Health Minister A.Tsogtsetseg signed a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding to cooperate within the project. Mr Gene Nixon expressed his pleasure to implement new project with the Government of Mongolia targeted at capacity building of children and youths for enhancing healthy lifestyles and life skills. 15 Peace Corps volunteers will be assigned to schools in the countryside to work with youth in areas of healthy lifestyles and life skills with a view to promoting awareness and behaviour changes. More than 1,275 Peace Corps Volunteers have served in Mongolia on projects in education, health, and youth development since the program was established in 1991.
