Cabinet approves revised law on public opinion polling. The Cabinet discussed and approved a draft revision to Law on Public Opinion Polling. The draft bill will be submitted to Parliament, reflecting the suggestions made by Cabinet members. The revision reflects a change in the time period allowed to conduct public opinion poll prior to Election Day. In specific, the law previously regulated that public opinion poll must be conducted at least 65 days prior to election day; however, the draft bill legalizes 21 days. The Cabinet thus approved the draft revision, expressing a stance that conducting a referendum on amendment to the Constitution of Mongolia with the Presidential Election will save budget.
