Mongolia is to build National Burns Treatment Centre. The Kuwaiti Government has agreed to provide $8 million in non-refundable aid for the construction of a Mongolian National Burns Treatment Centre. Since 2009, the old facility has been deemed unfit for operation by the General Agency for Specialized Investigation. However, this should change with the establishment of a new state-of-the-art facility. To date, there have been delays in the construction of the new Centre due to financial difficulties. According to A.Tsogtsetseg, $6.8 million of the overall financial aid package will be used for construction and $1.2 million for equipment. Currently, the burns facility is located at the building of the National Traumatology and Orthopaedics Rehabilitation Centre (NTORC) building.
