OSCE observers to start their mission by end of May
Long-term observers of Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, (ODIHR), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will come to Mongolia by the end of this month.
OSCE observers are to start their mission by end of May. Long-term observers of Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, (ODIHR), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will come to Mongolia by the end of this month for the upcoming presidential election scheduled for June 26. They will observe election campaign, electoral process, the way of solving complaints and petitions and activities of media organizations during the election. Prior to it, OSCE/ODIHR Needs Assessment Mission worked in Mongolia past February. In accordance with its mandate, the OSCE/ODIHR is deploying a Limited Election Observation Mission and plans to start the Mission’s operation on May 22, selecting 24 long-term observers.
