OSCE is to monitor Mongolian presidential election. The Mongolian Presidential Election will be held on 26th of June. The Limited Election Observing Committee of the Democratic Institution and Human Rights Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has requested to observe the presidential election. Mongolia will also request the support of an additional 24 observers from OSCE member countries. The international observers will issue an independent review of the election. The nomination of candidates for the upcoming Mongolian Presidential Election began on past Tuesday and will continue until 6th of May. So far, the Chairman of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party, former President N.Enkhbayar announced his nomination. Six candidates from the Democratic Party are reportedly planning to run for the party’s candidacy, however, only one candidate will be selected for the race and the name will be made public by 7th of May. No official statements have been made about the ruling Mongolian People’s Party’s potential candidate for the election.
