Mongolian-Canadian medical cooperation expanded. Canadian doctor, Hugh M. Parsons, is performing eye lens transplants for free at the First Central Hospital of Mongolia. Mongolian Health Minister A.Tsoggerel received the team of Canadian ophthalmologists led by Dr Parsons and expressed gratitude to the volunteer activity of the Laurel Foundation in Mongolia and expressed the interest to develop cooperation using telemedicine and online training for Mongolian ophthalmologists. The Mongolian Health Ministry has been cooperating with Canada's Laurel Foundation in the scope of a Memorandum of Understanding. This is the fourth visit of Dr Parsons to Mongolia; previously he performed eye surgery at the First Central Hospital, the Cancer Hospital and the General Hospital of Gobi-Altai province.
