Water quality Monitoring Program at Khuvsgul Lake National Park envisages to determine the water quality of Khuvsgul Lake scientifically and conduct regular monitoring and develop long term strategy.
Water quality monitoring program launched at Khuvsgul Lake. Water quality Monitoring Program at Khuvsgul Lake National Park envisages to determine the water quality of Khuvsgul Lake scientifically and conduct regular monitoring and develop long term strategies. Surveys on water chemistry, water balance, microbiology, water biology, air quality, soil pollution and land use will be performed in different weather conditions. In addition, automatic weather stations and a mobile laboratory for survey of water quality will operate around the lake to collect detailed information. The project is funded by the Japanese government under the project entitled ‘Integrated Livelihoods Improvement and Sustainable Tourism in Khuvsgul Lake National Park Project’ in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and Asian Development Bank.
