Intercity traffic halted due to severe weather. Intercity bus services heading to western provinces are halted for an indefinite period. Most of Mongolia’s western part is hit by heavy snow fall and incidents of human death and injuries occurred due to losing their way and freezing. Currently, emergency servicemen are conducting search operations to find eight persons including 3 children as no contact has been made since their departure. The National Emergency Management Agency issued a public warning recommending not to travel to the western area, be careful while herding livestock and not to leave children without any adult patronage.
