OSCE to deploy election observers to Mongolia. The OSCE observers are interested in working in Mongolia for election observation, told visiting Michael Georg Link, Director of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) at a meeting with Mr. Ch.Sodnomtseren, Director of the General Election Commission of Mongolia. Mr. Link said “Elections are conducted in Mongolia in a competitive manner. Other member states of OSCE learn a lot of things from the experiences gained by Mongolia and from how Mongolian electoral organizations implement the recommendations and reports developed by our observers”. He further informed that a research team of the OSCE will arrive in Mongolia to observe the preliminary situation of the election in Mongolia and will publish a report on this for the public soon. Mr. Director of Mongolia’s General Election Commission emphasized that the OSCE observers and their recommendations and reports make great contribution to the organization of the elections and improving the electoral activities in the country.
