Russia to help bring more Mongolian involvement in Shanghai Cooperation Organization
Moscow expects Mongolia’s statue in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be raised, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov while meeting Mongolian Foreign Minister Tsend Munkh-Orgil.
Russia is to help bring more Mongolian involvement in Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Moscow expects Mongolia’s statue in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be raised, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov while meeting Mongolian Foreign Minister Tsend Munkh-Orgil. Mongolia currently has got an observer’s status. Founded in 2001, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, with a number of observer countries including Mongolia, Pakistan, India and Iran. The organization works to strengthen regional stability and security, develop economic cooperation, energy partnership, scientific and cultural cooperation. It also fights against terrorism, separatism, extremism and drug trafficking.
