Mongolia to sign Free Trade Agreement with European Economic Commission

Mongolia is to sign Free Trade Agreement with European Economic Commission. The issue is being discussed with the visiting EEC delegation. Establishing Free Trade Agreement with the EEC is important to eliminating tariff and non-tariff obstacles in the trade relations between EEC member states and Mongolia, expanding foreign market of Mongolian traditional export products, increasing the amount of trade and services Mongolia to offer and attracting investment to Mongolia. At a meeting with Mongolian Prime Minister Mr.Erdenebat Tatyana D.Valovaya, Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission said that Mongolian side is attaching high significance to the development of bilateral ties, and expressed her views on the bilateral cooperation, including the improvement of correspondence between business representatives and economic corridor of Mongolia, Russia and China. At a meeting with Mongolian Foreign Minister the dignitaries then agreed to enhance trade relations and cooperation between organizations engaged in technical regulation, veterinary medicine, plant hygiene and quarantine and to hold a joint training, workshop and business forum in Mongolia. There were signed a protocol of the second meeting of the working group for cooperation between the Government of Mongolia and EEC and an action plan for 2017-2018 of the working group. The documents lay out a number of actions including, the establishment of a document of cooperation in the fields of road transport, mining, food, agriculture and business, sharing experiences and organizing roundtable meetings.
