Mongolian pouch crafting is believed to set a new Guinness world record. Mongolian embroiderers and officials from the Bogd Khan Palace Museum and Cultural Heritage Center announced that a Mongolian pouch crafting would be registered into the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO. To accelerate the matter, a replica of Bogd Khan's pouch will be nominated to the Guinness book. The crafting process of the pouch launched during an opening of an exhibition named “Embroidery art wonder”. The duplicate of the Bogd Khan’s pouch will be crafted as 225cmx88cm four times bigger than the actual size of original pouch of Bogd Khan. It will be nominated for “the biggest pouch crafted by the most number of people” in the Guinness records. Unveiling more than 100 pieces of embroidery by Mongolia’s foremost embroiderers and rare pieces from the repertory of the Bogd Khan Palace Museum, the exhibition marked the official launch of a project to produce a Guinness-record-setting pouch or snuff bottle bag.
