According to the draft law on the presidential election, the Mongolian presidential election will be held on June 26, 2017.

The draft law was backed by the standing committee on the government affairs and it will be discussed by the State Great Khural for the approval. According to the draft law, the Mongolian nationals, living outside the country, would register their votes on June 10 and 11. “The date of voting is being announced in accordance with the law on elections, as it provides that the election date must be settled at least 150 days prior to the election”, said by Ch.Sodnomtseren, the chairman of the general election committee. The law also provides that elections should be held in the last week of June.
