Largest solar power plant launches in Mongolia. Mongolia’s first large-scale solar power plant has an installation capacity of 10MW and it is built in northern Darkhan city by Solar Power International, in cooperation with Japan’s Shigemitsu Souji Co., Ltd of Sharp Corporation. The newly launched solar power station started supplying electricity to the power grid of the central region. The power plant will generate approximately 15,2MWh of clean electricity, equal to offsetting 14,7 tons of CO2 emissions.
