A new solar power plant launches this week. 10MW solar power plant will be commissioned in Darkhan city in northern Mongolia. It will help reduce the amount of energy import from Russia and will help connect the region to renewable energy systems. Darkhan solar power plant project is implemented jointly by local Solar power international LLC and Japan`s Sharp, Shigemitsu shoji Co., Ltd. The new solar power plant is capable to generate 14.1 million kW/h electricity per year with the help of 32 thousands solar panels. Moreover, the power plant will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 15 thousand tons.
