Kincora Copper has confirmed that its East Tsagaan Suvarga target is a mineralized porphyry system with comparable geochemistry. Kincora’s East TS target had long been thought to share similarities with the nearby Oyu Tolgoi deposit, one of the largest porphyries in the world. New analysis undertaken last field season has shown Tsagaan Suvarga can be classified as a Devonian quartz monzodiorite system, essentially identical to the high-grade orebodies at Oyu Tolgoi. East TS is an open pit target located about 13 km from the existing Serven Sukhait deposit, which has a known sulphide open pit resource of 255-million tons within the larger Tsagaan Suvarga intrusive complex.
