The Constitution of Mongolia became available to public displayed at the State History Museum of Mongolia with the aim to promote the significance and historical role of the Constitution to the people. In along with the celebration of 25th anniversary of the adaptation of the Mongolian Democratic Constitution to be marked on 13th of January, the country's supreme law was transferred from its preservation location of the President’s office to the museum. This is the original copy of the Constitution on which newly elected heads of state place their hands while taking the oath of office. The democratic Constitution plays an important historical role for laying the foundation for a free market economy by protecting private property and reducing state participation in the economy and creating free competition. To mark the anniversary, a photo exhibition and conference entitled the “State Great Khural of the People's Republic of Mongolia and Constitution" took place in December, and an annual national wrestling competition will be held on 13th of January.
