Mongolian-Japanese trade turnover studied in details. Japanese trade experts worked in Mongolia to investigate possibilities of increasing bilateral trade turnover. The study was conducted in the framework of Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement which came into force past year. The Japanese experts identified priority areas of the bilateral cooperation which will help increase a number of export goods from Mongolia to Japan, and discussed possibilities of enhancing the bilateral cooperation in the industrial and technological sectors. Pursuant to EPA, around 5700 varieties of Mongolian goods and some 9300 varieties of Japanese goods were directly and gradually exempted from import customs duties, which formed a favorable environment for entrepreneurs of both countries to supply products with certificates of origin under preferential tariff terms.
