Earthquake recorded in Mongolia’s South Gobi province. Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency has reported that earthquakes, particularly some 20 shocks ranging in magnitude from 1.5 to 3.8 were recorded in Mongolian South Gobi province this December. More than 700 local residents such as local university students and Tavan Tolgoi coal mine workers and miners, were evacuated to safety. Electrical power was cut down for several hours in Tsogttsetsii sub-province as a result of the earthquake.
