Mongolia and UNFPA study ongoing social development projects. Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Munkh-Orgil received Representative for the UN Population Fund in Mongolia, Naomi Kitahara. The sides considered implementation of the ongoing UNFPA-assisted projects and the country program to be launched in 2017. Minister Munkh-Orgil briefed about the government's policy for social development, as well as asked UNFPA for assistance in youth development and education. The Country Program for Mongolia for 2017-2021 was adopted at the UNFPA Executive Council Meeting in September. For the next five years, UNFPA will implement projects and programs totaling US$15.1 million, aimed at improving reproductive health and protection of reproductive rights, youth development and gender equality.
