Center for Mongolian Culture to open in Mokpo, Korea. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on establishing a Center for Mongolian Culture in Mokpo city of South Korea. The document signed by the Deputy Mayors of Ulaanbaatar and of Mokpo is believed to boost the cooperation between the two cities in many other sectors than sports and culture. UB Deputy Mayor for Social Development Affairs pointed to the opportunity of promoting cooperation with Mokpo in the areas of tourism, health, culture and economy. The tourism industry is seen as a potential room for expanding bilateral bonds, UB Deputy Mayor said. Mokpo is an ancient city that boasts abundance of historic landmarks and monuments.
