Vice Minister of Health is given updates on the WHO-assisted programs in Mongolia, and detailed information on the progress on the Program on Strengthening the Local Health System. The program’s main goal is to improve the management of health services in the localities, building human resource capacity and access to quality healthcare. World Health Organization (WHO) Resident Representative in Mongolia, Dr Soe Nyunt U said that Mongolia is a role model of the tangible progress on the local health program for the regional countries, so it is possible to nominate Mongolia as an agenda to the 2017 or 2018 WHO Asia and the Pacific Committee Conference. After presenting the project on introducing the internet-based portable diagnostic equipment to the emergency departments of Mongolian medical institutions, Dr Soe expressed his gratitude for the fact that the project and the Government action plan to involve as many people as possible in the early detection of diseases.
