Mongolian female mountaineer conquered Indonesia's highest peak
Renowned mountaineer of Mongolia B.Gangaamaa has become the first Mongolian to conquer Puncak Jaya – Carstensz Pyramid, the highest summit of Mount Carstensz in the Sudirman Range of the western central highlands of Papua Province, Indonesia, which is one of the Seven Tops of the planet.

She raised the state flag of Mongolia on the summit, elevated 4,884 meters above sea level, on July 8. B.Gangaamaa left home for Indonesia last June 26. B.Gangaamaa said: “I started my journey some 20 days ago in pursue of my ambitious dream. Now my endeavor’s been justified, the first Mongolian have conquered the continent of the ‘oceania’. I have felt with my body and soul the reasons why this very summit called Puncak Jaya is treasured and respected with so much honor”.
