Mongolian contortionists plan to set world record.
Mongolian contortionists plan to set world record. Total of 350 contortionists would perform to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. The world record seeking performance will be held at the central square of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar city on 6 August. At the moment, auditions are being held at the contortion studios and clubs all over the country. The selected contortionists will be involved in the joint rehearsals. Body contortionists remain one of the most stunning performers of the circus arts. And Mongolia has a rich history in the art, going back to the 17th century. In Mongolia, flexing and bending the body into seemingly impossible positions has been perfected into what some call a uniquely Mongolian tradition. And these advocates of the art form are seeking international recognition.
